2.5 G5s in 4-6 week? Wait for tax-free weekend!

If the new 2.5 G5s aren't shipping for 4-6 weeks anyway, why not just wait to order them until the tax-free weekend in August? Does anyone know if Apple online participates in this?

I think that there is a limit on the price, like $1000 or $1500 or something like that. Far from the $3000 smackers one of those will run ya!

Check this site http://singleparents.about.com/library/weekly/aa_salestaxfree03a.htm for tax-free holiday dates and rules for your state. For my state (NC) the limit on computers is $3,500! That will save a huge chunk of change!

Florida used to have such a week (or was it weekend?). Anyway, its now long-gone. Something about people disliking the time they had to go shopping? I think it was more like the state needed more money to waste of building roads, instead of funding our schools (we need new computers BADLY!).
