Supposedly coming out in a few days and no elevator shots? Seems a little weird doesn't it?

I'm thinking tomorrow or thursday. Those are the two days that have been mentioned. Tuesday seems far more likely.

Oh, and I am DEFINITELY expecting Jesus to return in about fifteen minutes, followed by the apocalypse.

I don't think its real. Why would they make the screen smaller. Besides, it needs to be thinner.

I guess Apple is keeping all elevator & stairwell doors locked.

Lol I have a thing on my toolbar that blinks green when something changes on the iMac forum. Most of the time its a new thread or reply, but sometimes its just a server update LOL

Does that mean we won't see a "ghost" picture of some fancy, unrealistic Mac on an elevator? (I always love those moving elevator pictures on Macrumors!)

I am really hoping they release these new iMac's soon the suspense is killing me, I have been saving for a new compy for months and the iMac is the way I am going, and I will wait out the new ones.

Does anyone think it will look any different from a 24" LCD display? That's my guess.

That's the 20th Anniversary Mac, it exists ;)

I would support a G4 design, so long as it gets a new look and includes a desktop Core 2 Quad. Not going to happen.

Blink Blink :D I seriously hope they go back to having it easier for the user to replace the hard drive. My superdrive just failed in my iMac and i don't have apple care so i just spent the last 40 minutes opening and examining the insides. Damn they pack things tight in there! The screws to remove the superdrive are on the side and its hard to angle the screwdriver with all the other components in the way. The hard drive looked easier to get at but of course still means removing of the screen with a suction cup.

Another Tuesday and no update...

I guess we'll have to wait for some kind of "special event" show, like the uMBPs got in October last year...

I think it was October the 14th last year for the unibodys. Next week is 1 year. Would be fitting for that to be the date.

They also released the invite for that event on the october 9th. Maybe there is hope for an event soon after all!

Are you sh*tting me? I was being completely sarcastic, LOL! I had NO IDEA this was indeed an Apple product. Awesome.

My guess is the new imac(s) will be out around the time Windows 7 comes out.

If some of the rumors are correct (I) should have bought the current generation, thinner does not mean better. My PC does what I need but I really want to make the switch to the imac.

If we see new products soon, what has Apple historically done: Raise performance/keep prices same? No new features/but drop prices?

Or if I am reading this thread correctly, it seems like there not be a pattern!

I am very close to pulling the trigger on my first Mac. Probably a Mini. I would be more than happy to take last years model (which I was already planning to buy) at a discount in place of getting some new model for more money.
