Any rules of thumb for this? my situation;

OK so have collectors allu macbook 2.0 with 2GB RAM on SL.

I use mail, Firefox lots of tabs windows (20 odd), NNW, itunes, tweetie, iplayer, transmission, plus maybe imovie, apperture 2 at the same time. A load of background stuff using daemon. Caffeine, istats pro, logmein, bodega and few finder windows.

I often see the beach ball of justice.

I checked activiy monitor and I had less tha 100gb free RAM, page ins of ~5Gb and page outs ~3GB.

I restarted and monitored it since last fews hours currently on page ins of 900MB and outs of 300mb.

Should I get 4GB of RAM for £70 from crucial? or save up for a 2.53 mbp and sell MB costing ~£400 for more cpu, ram, HDD, + backlit etc?

Cheers

Based on that, you would benefit from installing 4GB.

Collector's Edition- :rolleyes:
