I used to work right near the big NOAA facility in Boulder (across the street at NIST). All those guys seem to enjoy their jobs - nice laid back environment. Definitely has an academic / collegial feel to me.

boulder? as in colorado? as in I maaaaaaay be able to work where i grew up?
