....I need advice. No that MWNY has come, and we have what we have, here are my questions:

1. Will the 15" iMac's go down in price?

2. Is the 17" iMac worth 2 grand?

3. If I get a 14" iBook, am I wasting my money?

4. If I buy the iBook, can I do everything i want to do (basic user stuff)?

5. Will Jaguar be included on the new models, or do I need to buy it separatley?

6. Is it worth getting?

Thank you all very much. I plan on buying in the next week or so, so all advice is greatly appreciated. THANK YOU!!!

so know thats jaguar is on all new mac could I go to a mac store and see it?

I'm not sure. I don't have any Apple stores near me so I haven't looked into it. I would guess that Jaguar will be in the stores soon. It will probably be the usual delay between Macworld and store apperances.

...Jaguar's not out yet. It's coming out on the 24th of August. I thought everyone knew that by now. If you get a new mac now it will have 10.1.5, and you'll be able to get Jaguar for $20.

Whoops, I just thought about and realised that you're in Australia. I was thinking of Apple Retail Stores. In that case I think you're going to have a bit of a wait to see Jaguar. It usually takes from 1-3 weeks for Macworld stuff to show up in my local Mac provider.

OK then, buy a new mac and you just have to pay shipping.

Depends on how long you want to keep it. With the 16MB Radeon video card, it will be able to use Quartz Extreme, but just.

Jaguar will be shipping on all new systems after August 24th. Get a system between now and then, and you can update for $20.

Hell yeah!!! I intend to get 10.2 as soon as possible.
