I got a cheap 3rd party charger off ebay for my ipod. It works fine for the last year. The charger has a sticker on the back that says "for Iphone 3G".

So anyway, used it on my new iphone 3GS and it charges fine. However, when the thing is plugged in, the touch screen goes all crazy. I am unable to scroll freely and it randomly clicks programs I am not pointing at.

Once I unplug it, its all back to normal.

Is it safe to use on my iphone?

Any recommendations for cheap chargers off ebay?

If It's screwing with your iPhone I'd say leave it.

I have to agree. My friend bought a wall charger for his iPhone, and it never charged it. I'm not saying all things from eBay are defective, but when it comes to necessities like chargers and such, I say get them straight from the Apple store (online or an actual store).
