What keeps people from buying tons of ipod minis off of apple with the educational discount and selling them on ebay? It doesn't seem right, but as a test I entered 10 in the quantity field for the silver ipod mini and it was calculated with the discounted price. There didn't seem to be a limit.

What's up with that? Is there really no limit? There is for CPU/software purchases but apparently not for ipods.

There is a limit...perhaps the validation doesn't happen until checkout time.

But having worked in an educational Apple reseller, I can definitely tell you that iPods and iPod minis are limited by the same educational terms as every other Apple product.

Nothing is preventing you from clicking the "Buy" button, however, you will be audited, most likely well before shipping, so they'll still only give you your one. It's an "honesty" policy on the web, but they do check the orders before blindly shipping you a bunch of hardware at discount.

that will raise a flag. And they will send you a bill for the rest of price ... you know the money you imagine your saving. The education discount is not there to support people who want to make a few bux.
