What should I look for with Speakers?

I was wondering if anyone has any advice as to what I should be looking for in terms of specs on a Pair/Set of Speakers for my new G4 Powerbook.

Other than cost, what other statistics should I watch out for. Not necessarily product recommendations, more like, Wattage, does Frequency Range matter, etc...
