3GS post-3.1 update Pwnage?

I'm somewhat confused as to whether not I can pwn my 3gs - already updated to 3.1 of course and just got interested in jailbreaking my phone after I did it for a co-worker's 3g.

Haven't tried yet, but from my research it looks like I may be SOL - does out of box mean only 3gs pre-installed with 3.1, or is it that any 3gs not yet pwned but updated to 3.1 can't be jailbroken?

I'm wondering this as well. I would like to jailbreak mine as well. Mine came with 3.0 but has never been jailbroke before. I really just want cydia on there to add the google voice app.

It means the second. Any 3G[s] that has been upgraded to an official 3.1 ipsw or one that came that way out of the box. If you've never been jailbroken before, I'm assuming you don't have anything on file with Cydia to allow a downgrade. You will have to wait for a straight 3.1 jailbreak to become available. Sorry.
