iphone 2g stuck in connect to itunes mode

My iphone 2g is stuck with the connect to itunes screen, the iphone isnt even recognized by Mac or PC...its literally dead....any idea of what can be done?

i managed to enter to the homesscreen but i still cant connect it to itunes so i cannot format it :/ please help

Put it into DFU Mode and iTunes should see it OK.

thank you but no luck...as well the home button seems to b stuck :(
