View Full Version : Does anyone know when a 9.5mm 750Gb or 1Tb HDD is coming?

I'm aware that WD do 2.5 SATA 750Gb and 1Tb HDDs, but it is widely known that these are too tall to fit into MacBooks (without some compromise).

However, I just wondered if anyone had any evidence of any slimmer (i.e. 9.5mm) drives coming to market soon? I've currently got a 500Gb drive, and am really starting to struggle for space. I know there are 640Gb drives available, but I'm looking for a meatier upgrade before parting with cash.

Cheers in advance,

bigmealy

Do you use your optical drive much? Try replacing it with another 500GB hdd.

12.5mm drives fits in all unibody MacBook (Pros) and 17" pre-unibodys, so if you have one, just get the 12.5mm

Update for anyone interested. Western Digital now do a 750 GB 9.5 mm 2.5 inch Hard Disk Drive which should fit inside any notebook.
