seems like tuesdays are coming and going.... all predictions for a quick release of new imacs have proven wrong....invitations to an event, NADA!

hell, at the apple store you can get any imac to ship in a day, so where are the shortages? it's all a big mindf**k

I reckon they've got to appear before Oct 22nd, which is the Windows 7 release date. Apple will more than likely do something to upstage the event..

and on a side note:

anybody else notice that there is actually less info coming out of the rumor mills on this 'impending' product update than with the still far-off and only rumor based tablett computer...?

The invites go out around 12:00 Pacific Time. That leaves another hour should the event be for next week.

The "bleeding edgers" are so much fun to watch . . . hand wringing and nervous that they don't miss the opportunity to have the "newest" for roughly 5-10 months. 😀

sorry to break this to you but Nothing will upstage the windows 7 event.... Except maybe more vista fall out.

I agree. More "Mac fans" should realize, just as Steve Jobs did years ago (1997?) that for Apple to suceed, Microsoft does not have to fail, and vice versa.

If the Macbook is getting redesign, as rumored, there will be an event.

There was no event for the original plastic macbook, if i recall.

My guess is quiet update to mini and macbook next week and imac event later in two weeks or so.

They are not going to hold an event for just the iMac, a keyboard and mouse. There is simply not enough products, unless of course Apple spends half the time with more videos of the production of the technologies used in them like they did for the Battery and Uni-Body Design.

I disagree a multitouch mouse and a redesigned iMac are enough to talk about

How far in advance does Apple announce an event if there is going be one? Do they ever announce it on a Monday and have the event the next day, because I'm hoping for some news on Tuesday.
