How old are you and how long have you been saving?

What investments do you have?

I posted this thread a while back when I was excited that I had $800, now I have $10,000! I'm obsessed with saving.

I'm 18 years old, and been saving for about a year and a half!

21 Years old....been saving since high school. $103,744.37 in the bank.

I hope you're paying your parents rent. That's quite an accomplishment that most adults will never see based on current trends. How did you do it and what is your bill to income ratio?

i like this thread 😀

I'm looking into my crystal ball, I see another thread starting "RANT:OMG SOMEBODY CLEANED OUT MY BANK ACCOUNT! WHAT HAPPENED???" see a connection here kiddies?

Savings account, eh, not much. I have several grand in my 401k, which isn't terrible considering that I've been working for just over a year at my current job, which was my first out of college and first time I started a 401k.

My savings account isn't really meant for me to live off of, it's meant as more of a "Oh, I want to buy this!" fund.

I would recommend starting a savings account and try to build up 3-6 months of income in there. Use that as an emergency fund in case you lose your job or something happens. Any financial planner will tell you that.
