Hi there

I've got some problems with connecting my MBP and my MP per wireless network.

They both are connected to an O2 wireless router and I gave them matching IP addresses, the DHCP service on the router is still enabled though.

Unfortunately the two machines can't find each other. Even if I try to ping them I get timeouts.

It worked perfectly with the Airport Express station, but since I've got the O2 router everything is messed up.
If I plug in an ethernet cable if works instantly, but that's no option.

Has anyone got an idea?

What do you mean when you say you have given them "matching" IP addresses. Do you mean that you have manually assigned them the same IP address? Because that isn't going to work.

What happens when you set them to automatically get an IP from the router? Do they get one? Do they work on the internet?

Matching means they have addresses in the same range, of course they are not the same. ;)

Anyway, the problem solved itself. Rebooting the machines did it. Even with DHCP it works perfectly now.

Computers suck! :mad::rolleyes:
