iPod: play list upside down???

I have my purchased music playlist set to sync with my iPod, usually all does well but often I disconnect to find that my playlist is upside down, oldest at top newest at bottom vs newest to oldest.

Anyone else have this happening? I have about 300 songs in the playlist, don't remember when it started. My wife's iPod also syncs to the same set up and often does this as well.

Sometimes if I switch to manual update then back to sync, it fixes itself but not always.

Any suggestions? Am I alone?
