Is it fair for others to charge money to jailbreak your iPhone? They appear to be profiting off of others hard work. Unless, they are using their own program that they have written independent of Blackra1n/Purplera1n?

I'm open to being corrected on this, but I don't think that's technically wrong. They aren't selling the software, but their time in doing the JB. I mean, anyone wanting to JB should be able to do it simply enough, but oh well.
It's like guys that charge to put on an InvisibleShield. I guess.

Thousands of people doing this around the world, unfortunately.
At least this person is doing the "labor" for people instead of sending/giving them a CD of JB/UL tools he downloaded from the Internet.

Not a problem for me. My brother updated to 3.0 on his JB/UL T-Mobile 3G iPhone and I couldn't help him since he's Windows Vista and I'm Mac, so I suggested he head out to the mall and have one of the vendors take care of the JB/UL for him. Cost him $20 for labor and 20 minutes of his time...

I don't see anything wrong with it. They are providing a service.
Consider that everyday, many developers create custom spreadsheets and databases using Microsoft Excel and Access for their clients. They charge for this service. What is different in this case?

I too don't see anything wrong with doing this but find it bad that people sell CDs with the tools on and instructions.
I manage a console repair shop and do flashing and chipping. We don't sell people the tools to flash we sell them the service of flashing their console, testing and a guarantee it will work 6 months down the line.
There's a difference between providing a service and making profit off of other peoples hard work.
