Please help me pick a hard drive for MB.... (Options inside)

Check the specs on the vendor website

I'd be inclined to go for the Toshiba but that may be just me ;-)

I strongly recommend to check the disk specifications on their vendor website first though. I wonder if there's a typo in transfer rate on one of the specs mentioned, 300MBps versus 3GBit/s...kinda confusing.

Another thing which needs verification is the size of these disks. Not all 2.5" hard disks have the same height. I've seen some which are about 1,5mm higher than common notebook disks.

I've read to not buy a hd with the internal sensor that parks the heads during a fall; it conflicts with the sensor already built into the mac laptops.

hmm gut feeling... I've seen issues with WD disks and not particularly with Toshiba's. But that's on a different platform, so not really a fair comparison.
