hello where can i get rosseta for mac snow leapard?

Yes. When in Mac OS X, put the Install DVD in, select Optional Installs in the Finder window that pops up and select Rosetta.

And what you want is "Optional Installs." Click that, select Rosetta, and be done with it.

It doesn't "download" anything. The Rosetta software is on the physical install media.
Do this.
Insert the Snow Leopard install DVD in your Mac.
Open the app that requires Rosetta. When the prompt tells you you need to install it select ok and the Rosetta app will automatically install from the DVD.

If you would have read the previous posts instead of just mine, the OP said when opening the application that requires Rosetta, it allows you to download it from Software Update, which requires a download. Thanks for reading, though😱

But there is a way to install Rosetta sans DVD...
Sounds like you a deeper issue than not having Rosetta (that it won't download!) but maybe someone can upload the install files for him. (They are small)

I am not aware of Snow Leopard using software update to download Rosetta when it's on the physical SL media.

I had this happen yesterday. I clicked ok to install and it downloaded it from the internet using update and installed it. I didn't need to insert the CD.
It should install automatically when you attempt to run a program that needs it. I don't honestly see how it can be so slow, considering the actual download is a single 2MB file. Smallest Mac update I've ever had.
Also, as everyone has already said, it's also located on the Snow Leopard install disk in the "Optional Installs" folder.
When I installed Office 2008, it downloaded Rosetta using Software Update and didn't ask for the 10.6 DVD.

I just thought it came off the SL DVD.
In any case the OP shouldn't have any problem downloading or getting the app of the disk.

No, he shouldn't. I think the OP has bigger problems than just downloading Rosetta.

What I did is opened software that needed Rosetta and Mac OS X prompted me if you wanted to download Rosetta to open the app. Mac OS X simply opened Software Update that installed Rosetta. I don't recall seeing a step telling me it's looking for software
