Downgrading back to 3.0...

I have 3.1 installed and I would like to go back to 3.0 to enable tethering. How would one do this?

Depends what device you have.

Normally you would just hold option (shift for Windows) and click Restore than choose a 3.0 firmware.

I have a 3Gs, and what if I did not ever update to 3.0. I might not have the ipsw file because I bought the 3Gs with 3.1 installed on it. Any idea of where to get the 3.0 ipsw file unless someone can upload. But I think its a very big file?
