Safari storing searches

How do you clear safari's memory. Because evertime i go to type in a search in google or other search engine it keeps popping up with a list of previous searches. How do i clear these lists and how do i turn this feature off? I just find it extremly annoying to have a previous search list a page long.

Safari > Preferences > AutoFill > Other Forms

I hate having my searches stored. I find it extremly irritating. I don't know why but it annoys me.
