IM+ Full v.3.4 (under Apple Review)
- Speech recognition
- Animated emoticons
- Copy in bubbles
- Push email
- Text entry field grows while typing

nice update trying to figure out how set up push email any one figure it out yet?

Do you mean receiving the messages as emails, then pushed to your email account on your iPhone? If so Beejive has it.

ok found it i had to reinstall it then i went into google talk and there should be a option for mail notifications

no its geting push messages like you would with Gpush or mail notifier

ok found it i had to reinstall it then i went into google talk and there should be a option for mail notifications

i tried to delete separate accounts but it wouldnt appear, so i reinstalled. good find thanks!!

whats strange is if you go back into the google talk account there is no longer an option to enable/disable email push anymore.

I found the option to enable push emails, but it's not working. Has anybody gotten it to work? I've deleted the app and reinstalled, but it's still not working.

The App has received some small UI refinements but I can't really friend with the new minimalistic icon.

Does anyone know how long Skype stays online for? Is it 3 days? It used to sign out after 15 minutes for me. I haven't tried it in a long while.

I'm sort of mixed on this app, its still a bit slow for my taste. the push emails now appear if the accounts are active or not, before you had to turn off everything to make them appear. I could get my hotmail to push but not gmail. I didnt notice google talk will work username or username@gmail.com, so i'm going to try both. I did purchase the voice recognigition and i will say that i started talking like a robot and it was horrible, but as soon as i talked more normal it was much better. I wish they had set it up for $4 for the year instead of .99 a month. $12 for one feature is more then the whole app.

Has anyone got Gmail to push?? the push emails only display who its from and the subject, not a preview.

I'm getting a few emails pushed, but not all. I think I've gotten about 1/3 of them. It shows who it's from and the subject. It also doesn't show which email account received the email.

I'm definitely getting Yahoo, but I'm not getting Gmail. I am getting a bunch of "You've gotten new mail from null re null." I wonder where that's from.

I'm using Google Apps and not the standard @gmail.com address though. I don't know if that makes a difference.

The gmail for me is totally not working. twitter does not seem to be doing well, probably all server side fixes but i just dont have time for fooling with this, it either works or not.

Only hotmail and IM's are working for push

anyone having more luck with IM+ for gmail pushes?

IM+ would kick ass if they could speed the opening and iron out all these bugs.

- make all push notifications work
- indicate which email the notification is from
- put auto correction back
- greatly speed up the opening of the app for faster replies.
- UI for settings is kind of confusing

I dont think I like this update.....

-it takes the app even longer to load now
-animated smileys are useless because no oneelse can see it
-autocorrection doesnt seem to work in the app now

IM+ keeps getting worse and worse.
What's new in 3.4:

-Now takes even longer to load
-Autocorrection permanently turned off

Agreed.. slow load time and broken auto-correction are major disappointments. Starting to think of permanently switching to Beejive.

Its a shame because this app has potential to be very very good. It just needs all the functions to work, and login faster.

i think their server is in need of some fixing and some streamline code.

He was referring to another app, "Mail Notifier", to get push email.

i have both beejive and mail notifer, both are the best.

?I was just saying IM+ could be with all it many features.

i know whats good in apps ;)

I somehow missed post #9, I really don't get how that feature is supposedly be implemented by IM+ but it's not working on my side. So I might say IM+ doesn't support it very well.

Thank you techiegirl, i was wondering if anyone has gmail push working and i knew you had trouble before. I went back and forth with support and i just gave up. Techiegirl, can you try sihning in to google talk with username@googlemail.com and see if that helps.

The down side to the email notifications is that you dont even know what account is getting new mail, making the process useless.

This app just needs a lot of fixing. If they add facebook notifications too this app will be the closest thing like Digsby on an iphone.
