Winterboard/keyboard problem

I've searched and found a couple threads about problems with keyboards themes not working, but none of them had any kind of solutions, so I'm trying a new thread for help. I just did a 3.1.2 JB and everything works from wallpapers to carrier logos and font changes, but no matter what keyboard theme I try (I've tried 9-10 different ones), it is not there after I select it in winterboard. I've tried moving the keyboard theme to the top of the list so it has top priority and nothing. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
