i don't want to unlock, does redn0w unlock 3.0?

b/c i know purplera1n also unlocks. the dev team's site says it unlocks, but then what's the point of ultrasn0w?

which device? It can unlock 2G, but you have to install ultrasn0w after redsn0w to unlock both 3G and 3GS.

if redsn0w unlocks, that just means it installs ultrasn0w.

No it doesn't, but if you have a 2G you can select that option
