Won't Boot - Two Beeps

Last night I got a MSG on the screen indicating that I needed to restart. Now my Mac won't boot, I get two beeps before
it gets to the Apple logo. I tried booting from the OSX disk, same results. Any suggestions?

It appears that your Mac thinks there is something wrong with your RAM. Check out this link:

I would try resetting the RAM modules. Maybe one of them is not making good contact anymore. Hope this helps.

The message you got that told you to restart is a Kernel Panic. Two beeps at startup symbolizes an issue with the RAM chips. Make sure that the RAM is secure in their respective slots. Have you upgraded the RAM recently? Also, I would recommend doing a PRAM reset by holding down the COMMAND-OPTION-P-R keys at startup and see if that helps. The kernel panic seemed to be the beginning of the issue.

Thank you very much! I just saw the second reply. The screw that holds the memory door in place won't come out....it just turns and turns. I made an appointment at the Apple Store for after work tonight. I also printed out the two suggestions here...just in case.
