my ipod touch is over a year old and the home button broke. No, its not that its just not working, it broke. the home button is jammed inside of the ipod and wont even move.

What should i do to fix it?

(Plz do not tell me to restart my ipod, press sleep and home over and over, or even take it in the apple store)

Buy a case opener tool and do it yourself, but by the time you receive the case opener tool and fix it yourself you could have brought it to the apple store.

Why don't you want to take it to the Apple Store?Because he probably didn't buy Applecare, but I am sure their is some sites around that will tell you how to fix it, if its off of warranty just open it up yourself and fix it.

same thing happened to my ipod a couple months ago but i took it to the apple store and got a refurbished one. You should at least go to the apple store and ask if they can help. You wont lose much by going over there
