Owning two - iPod Touch and laptop - fingerprint magnet devices that I use most everyday is making me think I will never buy another fingerprint magnet devices other than iPod Touch or iPhone.
What boggles my mind is that why they keep using such hated materials on new devices. They cost less?

I'm pretty sure they actually cost more. The basic fact is that consumers like them and buy them.

It pisses me off too looking at laptops and stuff and the outershell is almost always a shiny cover that attracts fingerprints. I miss the old days where all laptops were made with black matte plastic.

Then look at the business laptops, they are more matte black with matte screens. The one I have did not even have the option for a mirror screen and it is not even 6 months old

Shiny stuff look classier and more expensive. Cars mostly come with glossy paint and not matte. Matte looks punky IMO.

Ok, but that's just my opinion. To me, it's more of matte cars that look ugly. I would wonder how white matte would be like.

But that's a Lotus. It could be pink and green polka dots on an orange body and it would still look sexy :D

They had a matte white Tesla Roadster at the Canary Wharf Motor Expo this year. It didn't look all that good. Sort of dirty rather than white.
Edit found a picture. It looks better in the picture than it did in real life

Looks very nice. Thanks for posting them. But, I'm pretty sure we'll never see matte coming to the iPhone, especially the white matte..
