My school techstore sold me the wrong RAM... (This was in March)
I've returned it (a 512 MB Crucial) 3 times, and they've replaced it...
Now I've lost my receipt, and I was getting suspicious. Checking Crucial's site, it seems as though they just sold me the wrong RAM to begin with...
No wonder I've been having so many problems...
anyway I wonder what the odds of them replacing it with the right part are?
if they don't replace it, anyone know anyone who needs Crucial part #CT6464X265 ??

So you're selling RAM? Complaining? Hoping somebody will guess your problem and help? I'm a little fuzzy on the point of this post.

all of the above i guess... *chuckle*
it was mainly venting for being a pea-brain and trusting what the chuckle-head gave me rather than double checking it first myself...
i guess those are the breaks...

I don't want to end up like the guy trying to return the wrong chip.
I would imagine that many people will be in the same position as me in a few weeks - the 2.5 G5s will be here - when mine arrives I'd like to have 2 gigs of RAM ready to slam in there.
HOWEVER - here's a copy/paste from the 1800memory.com site:
1GB UPGRADE (512MBX2) DDR 400 PC3200 FOR POWERMAC G5
THIS IS A KIT OF TWO 512MB

So - why is the "HyperSpeed Memory" $80.00 more per kit?
Will I be bummed out if I buy the $159.00 because it won't work all that great - Or will I just be a sucker to pay $160.00 more for nothing?
