My macbook won't log on!!

My mac froze while I was on the web. I turned it off. When I turn it back on there's a gray background with a blinking icon of a folder with a question mark in it.

Please heeeeeeeeeeeeeelp!!

Sounds like corrupted OS or bad disk drive.

Try starting from CD/DVD and running disk utilities to repair if possible.

are you running safari 4 beta?

if so that is the problem. if not, im no help ;P
