Hi, I am always running with my mini ipod however I find the headphones substandard for running. Does anyone have good alternate suggestions? The ipod headphones are fine for walking but they always fall out of my ears whenever I run. Any help is great!!

Same happens to me. I dont' want headphones that have a physical connecting peice that goes over or behind my head. I just wand earphones with some more secure connection to my ears. I know there are several popular kinds out there, but does anybody have experience with which ones sound good?

I think the inear headphones mac offers should be good for running. They come in three sizes so they actually fit your ears. Plus the are white, so you still look ipodish. Those white earbuds just scream : " Come on mister burgelar steal my ipod from me", but they are cool.

Anyone else have a good advice? I am looking for headphones with a good quality sound, no running intended ;)

i think the shure (http://www.shure.com) e2īs are great. i like the fact, that the cord goes over and behind your ears to the back of your neck and down your back. they are extremely comfortable and have fantastic sound. the cord is also isolated so that you donīt hear any bump when if it hits your body while running. the only caveat is the cord at/under your back, when you do sit-ups. youīll need to move it to the side before.
i bought my shure e2īs at guitar center for $79

I just have those Sony earphones. Well, the 2 pieces that attach to your ear are exactly like the ones found on headphones, and there's absolutely no solid band that wraps over your head or behind your neck. Its all wires, and is quite good to have.
The connect to the ears like all the popular ones do nowadays, but the fact that a light cord connects the two ear pieces instead of a band is what I like. :)
They're only $35 or so. They don't sound amazing, but they're good enough that I won't be picky-choosey.

i second to shure E-series, those earphones rock :) the flagship model E5 is audiophile quality and the E2 is extremely good too. those come with silicons of three different sizes and should fit all ears, and the E5 can also be fitted with a custom-made earpiece that a specialist has made just for your ear...

Although I have an expensive pair of Sennheiser headphones, I find it difficult to dish out $100 for earbuds.
These in-ear headphones by KOSS put out pretty good sound and do a good job of keeping outside noise out. They come with a variety of foamy earpieces to best fit your ear. The best part: They are only $14.99. You can find them at Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B00001P4XA/qid=1090351261/sr=8-4/ref=pd_ka_4/102-5326506-7219369?v=glance&s=electronics&n=507846) or at Target.

in my opinion sony makes the best headphones, along with tv's, audio equipment, and digicams, but not mp3 players or pc's. at home with my ipod i have a pair of sony studio monitor (http://www.sonystyle.com/is-bin/INTERSHOP.enfinity/eCS/Store/en/-/USD/SY_DisplayProductInformation-Start;sid=EkNqq9olcS9qNprYbnFgoJUoVKwyDsNtF6I=?CategoryName=pa_Headphones_CDSeriesStudioMonitor&Dept=pa&TemplateName=item%2fsy_item_b&ProductSKU=MDRV700DJ) headphones (gotta splurge sometimes) but in the car (in the passenger seat for a couple years) or outside i use these (http://www.sonystyle.com/is-bin/INTERSHOP.enfinity/eCS/Store/en/-/USD/SY_DisplayProductInformation-Start;sid=EkNqq9olcS9qNprYbnFgoJUoVKwyDsNtF6I=?ProductSKU=MDRJ10%2fPINK&Dept=pa&CategoryName=pa_Headphones_hear). not the absolute best sound quality but it's pretty damn good for the price and very comfortable and cool looking. but im saving up forthis pair (http://www.bose.com/controller;jsessionid=A92iQPkgTzF1hpgfaWUvaalKoBwIykk7tBxgCOy0phpZsV7aHYbb!1650898708?event=VIEW_PRO DUCT_PAGE_EVENT&product=qc2_headphones_index&pageName=/home_entertainment/headphones_headsets/headphones/index.jsp) though
