I bought my iPhone a few months ago and jailbroke to 3.0.1 almost immediately. I'm on a Windows PC, so I had to wait until last week when blackra1n came out to upgrade to 3.1.2. After doing so, I noticed that many of my folders had been duped (I'm not sure exactly which directory, but it's the one containing the Themes folder, among others). I could easily delete the older folders, but I've also read that upgrading a jailbroken phone (as opposed to doing a restore) actually means that Cydia reserves another 500 MB while still reserving the initial 500 MB as well. Is there any way to fix this? This guide (http://thebigboss.org/guides/how-to-upgrade-in-itunes/) seems to show you how to do things correctly in the first place, but what if I've already made this mistake? Am I going to have to completely start from scratch (disregarding my iTunes backups) to get that space back? If I restore back to factory settings and then restore again from a backup will the dupes be gone even if I jailbreak again?
Also, please note that I don't have any backups from before my phone was jailbroken. Anything I have is post 3.1 jailbreak.
