Hi
I see Apple have released the iMac with an LED display.
The other week my iMac went back to have a new display fitted.
Would they have put in an LED or tube lit display, how can I find out ?
Thanks....

It's the old one, unless they screwed up...massively screwed up. Which they did not.

Did you return a 21.5" or 27" LCD display? :D

Pretty sure they'll stick a 21.5" LED display where your 20" was before.

It cannot be the old one as the problem with it was inside the panel....

The old one, as in a display that is non-LED. Clearly they did not stick a 21.5" display in your 20"...if they did, you'd know.

I see no reason why the 21.5" LED display won't fit in the older iMac. They would just have to cut away the bezel. Definitely doable.
