Not receiving text messages?

Randomly my phone decided to not receive text messages, it does most of the time, but randomly decided not to. I was wondering if anyone else has been experiencing this lately. I have a 3Gs 3.1.2 jailbroken.

I'm actually experiencing the same problem. My iPhone is also jailbroken via blackra1n.

Have experienced it before, just re-set it on itunes and worked fine!!

Anyone experiencing this problem who has NOT jailbroken their iPhone? I'm curious to know this before restoring my iPhone.

I experienced this a couple of days ago. This was because i restored my sms.db from a previous jailbreak. In order to fix this problem, you either need to delete the SMS folder at /private/var/mobile/library or you could try setting all permissions in the SMS folder, especially the sms.db file to 777.

This solution worked for me

I would do two things before going through the hassle of restoring.

1. Go to settings>general>reset>reset networking settings. Give that a shot first.

2. Get your sim card replaced.

If you've done those two things and it still is doing it, then sure, restore it.
