How long does it take to receive an iPod that is ordered online? If I order a custom engraved nano tomorrow, will I receive it before the end of next week?

The website says it will ship within 24 hours, even with the engraving.

I ordered a nano (without engraving) on September 12th which was a Saturday and received it on the 15th which was tuesday.

Cool. This would be a birthday present, and I leave to go visit my best friend for her birthday the week after next.

I am thinking it would be a pretty safe gamble to order a nano online and receive it before I have to leave.

Yeah you should be fine. If your really worried though skip the engraving ans just go to your local apple store/walmart/bestbuy/target/radioshack/ect. and pick one up.
