Do you need to be over 18 for an O2-UK PAYG iPhone?

Hey,

I was just wondering if you need to be over-18 to buy a PAYG 3GS on O2.

I saw an activation video for pay monthly handsets, and it asked if you were over 18. I need to know if this is the case for PAYG handles.

No, but they may only accept payment by debit or credit card.

No I bought mine cash, but had to use that cash to 'buy' a voucher and that paid for the iPhone

Guess Apple never heard of cash before

Just another quick question, do you take it home sealed and activate it there or do they open it all up and do it in the O2 store?

They do it all at the store when purchasing, they will also insist on £10 (min) credit being put on. Make sure they set the Network to pay-and-go settings, they didn't with me and it took a while to realise it.

You will leave the store with a fully functioning phone.

ps pay and go phones can be bought direct at Apple stores, you don't need to go into an O2 store
