Anyone have idea what the largest differences are between the pre 20-10 release and the new ones?

So little has been published on the matter.

From what I've gathered, it has better range (25%), better wireless performance (50%), up to 802.11n spec (not just draft), and has faster Time Machine backups when used with Snow Leopard (60%).

I'm actually curious about the faster TM backups when using SL.

I vaguely remember reading somewhere that SL sped up TM backups in general. I'm wondering if the info about faster TM backups when using SL are specific to the new TC or just SL in general.

Unless there was some tuning under the hood.

It was a surprise to me to hear of the performance increases. I was under the impression that the speed was limited by the wireless specification not the hardware. After hearing how much faster the new model is I feel like the one I have is defective.
