Is there an option to use it like the new glass mouse trackpads without any physical buttons being emulated?

Yes, there is. You can use it just like a trackpad if you want. Very cool, IMO. I have a mini as a media server and use the iPhone to control it this way.

Does anyone know if this app (or any other app in the app store) can be used as a multi-touch input device on a PC?
Specifically I want to run the Windows Touch pack programs but I don't have a touch screen, so it'd be great if I could get an iPhone app to act as the multi-touch Touch screen input for me.

Bought this app awhile ago. Never able to get it to work with my MBP, despite attempts by developer to help me work thru the set up. First app I'm completely disappointed in. It sounds awesome, but it clearly doesn't work for everyone. That said, the dev seems willing to help you work thru any issues you might have.

gonna try it, does it need to be connected to a data source (wifi or 3G) to work?

This app is awesome! I've had my eye on it for some time. But I was turned off by the steep price. However, when I saw that it was on sale, I had to jump ship and purchase it. It works flawlessly on my Vista/64 bit PC. Thanks for the heads up. :D

I bought it for a dumb reason. Hoping to see if it works later today for me! Lol!!
FYI, I had it on my appshopper wish list - so I got a nifty email message when the price dropped. I love that feature, and there have been some with short drops and I would have missed them without it!
So go sign up for one!!

I used Air Mouse Pro for a long time and i find out that TouchPad is better because it support 1, 2, 3, 4 finger gestures... unlike this one you need to touch big buttons just to click something.

Yup. Thats a big letdown. Mac will always be my main computer but I still have to use windows too. Unless they add windows support, Air Mouse is definitely the better choice here also considering it`s 50% ceaper than TouchPad at the moment.

It might just be my network, but it gets unresponsive sometimes on me. or the touch interface would crawl forever. Great app though...

me too, but I now prefer hippo remote. No need to install software on the mac, which seems to lead to smoother operation. With air mouse pro I sometimes lose the connection, which pretty much kills this app for me.

is your iphone on the same wifi connection as your PC? it should automatically sync together when you load the server on the PC side.

No... Air Mouse act like a random Windows PC laptop track pad. If your looking for something that act like the Apple's new Magic Mouse or the track pad of a unibody MacBook Pro, get TouchPad.
Air Mouse is more for PC users.
TouchPad is more Mac users.

I'm a teacher and have a touch through the district that is connected to their wifi. I'd like to use this to control a smartboard from a distance, the computer I currently have connected to it is a hard lined desktop. Anyone know if this would work with 5 or so other desktops in the room? All are pcs. Thnx

I bought Mobile Air Mouse this morning and have been playing with it all day on my Mini-based home entertainment system. I have to say I'm well impressed with it. It worked with my set up immediately and the response time is instantaneous. I've had problems with 2.4 GHz interference with various Bluetooth wireless mouses (mice?). Like anything there are little mods that could be made, but all in all its a great app. :)
