macOS updating/sorting data source of table view | Applescript

Hello all,

I have a table view in my applescript studio application on which I can drop items. The columns of this table are sortable by clicking on them.

My app is meant to rename the dropped items sequentially, but before renaming I need to be able to sort them with the following criteria:

• name
• creation date
• modification date
• size

I can sort the columns no problem by clicking on them... however it seems that the data source itself is not sorting the items so that they are renamed according to the chosen column.
They are always renamed according to their name.

Anyone knows what I could do to fix this ?
