Alright so I go the new 21.5 inch and love it but I was wondering if the Mini-Display Port does audio for the HDMI output. Because if it did, that would be wonderful.

No, it doesn't. DisplayPort can, Apple chooses not to.

Mini DisplayPort can't but there is MDP + USB to HDMI adapter available.

Then how do the cinema displays get audio?

the apple cinema display gets audio via USB

Alright thanks for the help, I will probably just borrow my friends cable that he uses for the mac mini to test it out, then decide if I really want/need it.
