The new quad iMacs sound awesome for FCS! I wonder however if anyone has tried editing with the Magic Mouse in FCP? How precise is it? I'm a bit hesitant about bluetooth or wireless mice in general, and it is my understanding that the Magic Mouse uses old laser technology that's not as sensitive as new Logitech mice are... and the Magic Mouse is more temperamental when it comes to pad surfaces. And how's the clicking... you are limited when it comes to number of clicks possible (only left and right) - does this suck the life out of you when you try to use it for FCP? Feedback anyone??

I was wondering about this too, so i took a stroll to the apple store to play.. they didn't have FCP on the imacs but i opened up imovie and found that it didn't offer that precise for frame by frame editing...i think i'm going to order a contour shuttle pro

Frame by frame editing was imprecise? Do you mean the tracking or the scrolling? I want to pick one of these things up after my bank account has a nice buffer zone of cash.

I personally can't stand using a mouse for editing, I'm all about my kensington trackball, I got four buttons mapped for what I use most in FCP and life is all good.

Trust me, dual monitor setups suck w/ a mouse.

The magic mouse is a cool little device, but IMO not for editing video's.

scrolling, it was hard to get the exact frame I wanted.
