Color: ProRes422 or Uncompressed?

I shot a canon hv30
capture in HDV
when I go into color, should I use prores or uncompressed?
the latter seems to FREAKIN huge with little difference.

What is this going to be used for? what is the final product?

ProRes or native.

I've been in situations where I sent XDCAM or JVC HDV to Color and it worked fine BUT I have had major issues with the app just going nuts. Never had a problem with ProRes. BTW, what system or you using and what are you monitoring with?
