HI All,

I want to develop some middle-wear application for iphone (iphone simulator). When i created any apps using X-code ,in simulator it launches the white window. Actually my app should run in background without launching any GUI.
Anybody please help me out in this.

Or is it possible to minimize or hide the same launching app in GUI ?

cheers,
-Ansar

I don't understand your question. The SDK is not the simulator: it is the combination of APIs, documentation and tools that make it possible to build apps. To be 100% clear you cannot run background apps on a non-jailbroken iPhone in any way.

You can only run foreground GUI apps on a stock iPhone. This requires paid enrollment in the developer program, and the ability to find, read and precisely follow instructions.

However, you can run almost anything you want on the SDK Simulator, since it's actually just a GUI and frameworks layer on top of the Leopard or Snow Leopard running on your Intel CPU Mac.
