iPod iPod Nano 5G charging notification

Hey how do I know that my iPod Nano 5G has been fully charged?
What I can see is just the 'plug' icon on both my iPod Nano screen and the iTunes tab, but not the battery bar or level indicator.

So how do I know my battery level during charging?

The plug icon means it's fully charged. When it's charging, it displays a lightning bolt icon instead. :)
