Need very simple HELP with final cut pro!

I need to do 3 things on final cut pro 5.1

1. cut out and rearrange segments of a video.

2. Get rid of the videos sound

3. Add a song burned from a CD.

Ive been trying do do this on my own but background noise overdose the sound and I cant figure out how to cut sections on the video. Thanks for any help.
