Hi,
Each time I connect my iPhone with iTunes, all songs in my smart playlists like "Recently Added", "My Top Rated", "My Most Played" etc. are erased and these playlists in my iPhone show "No Music - You can download music from iTunes"
I have an iPod 3G 16GB and its updated.
And "manually manage music and videos" is selected.
