Is it safe to charge my Macbook over night in a laptop bag that I have? What's your take on this? How do you charge your Macbook (on sleep, shut down, open, closed etc)?

I never put my MBP on sleep in a bag. But I usually charge it in the bag when it's shutted down.

Wouldn't be wise to block the vents.

Why on earth would you charge it in the bag?

the only reason i have charged in my bag was when i know i have to get out the door quickly. just make sure not to block the vents.

On trips I will charge mine "shut down" not in sleep in the bag, I don't wait the room staff to see what I have with me. Don't charge it while on or in sleep inside the back it could suffocate the system.

Open, closed, in a bag, with green eggs and ham. It doesn't matter how you charge. You don't have to worry about the vents because the system isn't on and the fans aren't running.
