I'm having a problem with our large color Ricoh laser at work where areas of flat color (particularly blue and green) print with a somewhat blotchy, pale look.
Now, what's frustrating about this is that almost exactly one year ago we were having the exact same problem and I tracked it down to an obscure and not-at-all-obviously-related printer setting. The problem being that I CANNOT remember what said setting was, nor can I locate my notes from last year.
I've already printed a half-inch stack of tests running through random settings combinations, but I'm kind of hoping someone else has had a similar issue and/or knows what setting it is that I'm looking for.
(Also, I'm pretty sure the problem isn't hardware related, as it's identical to last time, and I can certainly make it worse by screwing with the settings.)
