Upgrade from XP to 7 in Parallels [Archive]

Is there a way to upgrade from XP to Windows 7 in Parallels Desktop without doing a clean install?

I can't seem to get the disk to run from XP.

You can't upgrade from XP to Windows 7. Its a documented issue. You must do clean install.
