I just jailbroke my 3g phone for the second time, to get tethering (through pdanet) and unrestricted skype use (through unrestrictor). I also installed battery controller, winterboard and five icon dock, and I'm noticing that my phone is a little bit slower. A lag is noticeable when I click the home button and when I open programs. This is normal, right? Are any of those programs particularly demanding on my phone? It is annoying enough to make me miss te speed from when it was non-jailbroken, even tho these programs are pretty sweet. I'm running 3.1.4.

Cheers

the only app i see there that would be slowing you down is winterboard, unless you have a 3gs winterboard more than likley will cause some lag. try deleting it and seeing if your phone performance improves, a good winterboard alternative that doesnt cause lag is Bosspaper, check that app out its really nice.

Thank you! Deleting winterboard solved my problem. I only had it to get the black background behind the dock and thr menubar anyway. I looked around and tried to find an alternative app or setting to download to get black dock-background but no luck. Anyone know of one? The menubar is still
black for some reason, so don't need that.

Also, are the lockscreen widgets very demanding as well?
