Apple and none of the large accesory companies seem to offer a Macbook car charger but there appear to be many on ebay such as http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Car-Airliner-DC-Charger-For-Apple-MacBook-Pro-13-15-17_W0QQitemZ110448180055QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Computing_LaptopAccessories_PowerSupplies?hash=item19b 7397b57#ht_1794wt_1154

Has anyone used one of these? Any thoughts?

The other alternative is an AC-DC inverter but it seems a lot more efficient not to convert DC-AC-DC and some of the inverters can be quite loud.

Many thanks.

All I've ever used in my car is a DC - AC inverter and it works great. These inverters are versatile and can also be used to charge your cell phone etc...
