I apologize in advance, as I am sure that this has been answered somewhere by someone already, but I can not find what I am looking for.

I have a MBP running Tiger (10.4) and now a new iMAC running SL (10.6). I currently run SuperDuper on my MBP Tiger. I create my bootable clone/backup on an external firewire 800 drive and all works great - I even test regularly booting from the clone.

I would now like to run SuperDuper on the iMAC (SL), create a disk image (per super duper's instructions) and save that disk image on a new partition on the external drive attached to my MBP (Tiger).

So, it appears to me that 10.6 and 10.4 have different sharing methods/interfaces and I am looking for direction on how to have 10.6 see an external drive partition that is attached to a different machine running 10.4. I am an administrator on both machines.

Thoughts? Cheat sheets are welcome too! :-)

You need to share out that drive in 10.4 via System Preferences.

That machine should show up in Finder on the iMac. Simply authenticate to that machine and that drive will show up as a share for the Macbook Pro.
